The Miniverse series encapsulates the exploration of identity and miniature universes we exist in every day. Through theatrical play, the series allows the subjects to embody otherworldly characters in order to step back and investigate the self as another. Much like Cindy Sherman’s self-portraits, the Miniverse series emphasizes external appearance to shift to the representation of the inner world. In doing so, the photographs reinforce the experiences of self and identity. This series aims to give people a chance to self-reflect and grow through performance and play.
